Kid Friendly Meal

Cooking in the Kerkhof Kitchen
🍕 Kid-friendly, budget-friendly, and a great way to sneak in some extra veggies
🍕 Pizza Joe’s in a Hurry
Ingredients
    •    1 lb ground beef
    •    1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
    •    1 small onion, finely chopped (or I used about 2 T of Everything Onion)
    •    1 bell pepper, finely chopped
    •    1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
    •    2 Tbsp A Spice Affair Nonna’s Spaghetti Blend
    •    1 cup crushed tomatoes
    •    1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    •    4–6 buns or rolls – or English muffins, or tortilla wraps
Directions
    1    Brown the ground beef in a large skillet. Seasoned with some GPS and a bit of Nonna’s Spaghetti
    2    Add mushrooms, Everything Onion, and pepper. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
    3    Stir in another Tablespoon of Nonna’s Spaghetti Blend. Here’s where I added about 2t of Smoky BBQ Tennessee for that added smoky flavour
    4    Add Crushed tomatoes and simmer for 3–5 minutes.
    5    Sprinkle mozzarella over the top and cover until melted. This way you do not have to assemble and then put them back in the oven to melt the cheese!
    6    Serve on toasted buns. I melted some butter and added some Garlic Magic and put the buns in the airfryer.


Kid Friendly Tips💡

Finely chopping the vegetables helps them “disappear” for picky eaters.
💡 Have a bowl of pepperoni slices available as an optional topping. Kids love customizing! Can also set out any other items that your kids like to have on pizza
